Finding His Place: Sebastian Bryczkowski’s Journey at Promeco

A New Opportunity

Sebastian’s path to Promeco began with a call from a headhunter he had worked with before. Initially curious about the opportunity, he approached the process with an open mind.

“I appreciated the openness and honesty throughout the recruitment process,” Sebastian shares. The personal tests were followed by in-depth and candid discussions, which provided valuable insights and a clear understanding of expectations — something that is not always the case. Meetings with Promeco’s HR Manager Paulina Zuchowska and Chief Executive Officier Ville Ritakorpi confirmed a shared vision and alignment on key business values.

After visiting Promeco’s Polish units and completing business case assignments, Sebastian decided, “Okay, I will try it.” It was a decision he now sees as a turning point.

A Balanced Start

The role of a director overseeing operations, finances, and personnel can be intense, but Sebastian found the experience at Promeco to be rewarding. “The work is quite intensive, but in a good way. There’s always some stress in positions like this, but here, it’s balanced,” he reflects.

A few months into the role, the headhunter reached out to check on him. Sebastian’s response was telling: “I started to enjoy work after many years.” The job provided an engaging environment where he could make impactful changes, supported by a strong management team and a welcoming atmosphere.

A Collaborative Culture

Sebastian emphasizes the positive culture at Promeco. “I’ve felt welcomed, and I’ve received positive feedback on my work. The atmosphere is good, and the low employee turnover speaks volumes about the company’s approach.”

Promeco’s commitment to its people stood out to him. “It’s a fully supportive company that offers development and training programs. There have not been any obstacles on the way. We want people to develop,” he explains.

He also values the deep connection within the management team, where shared values and mutual respect create a strong foundation. “It’s great to be part of a team that aligns well.”

Looking Ahead to 2025

Having settled into his role, Sebastian is now focused on building for the future. For the coming year, Sebastian is focused on optimizing processes and implementing lean initiatives at Promeco’s Polish units. “We’ll work on standardizing and redefining processes, starting a lean program in Poland, and launching a leadership academy for middle management to enhance their skills in managing people,” he shares.

The market outlook for Promeco is positive, with increasing maturity in projects and customer cases. Supported by Promeco’s collaborative culture and clear vision, Sebastian is motivated by the challenge of refining operations. “It’s always good to think about what we could do better.”

As Promeco continues its upward trajectory, Sebastian’s leadership will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s success while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Sebastian’s journey at Promeco has been one of growth and satisfaction. He sums up his experience: “It looks like I have found my place.”
