Fun fact, what others don’t know about you: My hobby is modeling – gluing together models of military vehicles. This is what others do not know, because most of my colleagues associate me with the passion for Excel and computer games. I also love animals.
A CHANGE THAT PAID OFF
Few years back, Marcin worked in a company where he dealt with accounting tickets and keeping statistics. The job was tiring and Marcin felt that it did not develop him. When he started to consider changing jobs, he remembered Promeco, where his sister Magda already worked. He decided to apply for a job and got hired.
When Marcin started at Promeco, his job was to print plates with descriptions for components, connections inside switchgears. That is when he got his nickname “PRINTMAKER”. However, while performing one of his tasks, Marcin demonstrated great knowledge of Excel. This knowledge was highly appreciated at Promeco and Marcin was promoted to a planner.
PEOPLE MAKE THE ATMOSPHERE
The goal of Marcin is to be a good professional and the kind of a person who can be fully relied upon. According to Marcin, the best thing about working at Promeco are the people around him.
– Together we create a family atmosphere, which I really appreciate. I am always happy to go to work, even though there are sometimes difficult tasks to complete. I felt that we share a common goal.
Professional development is important for Marcin. Colleagues have a significant role in that as they can teach one another a lot. He feels that there are plenty of opportunities for professional development at Promeco. In three years he has expanded his knowledge, skills, and abilities greatly. He has, for example, learned the ERP program, improved his Excel skills, and English.
– I started as a “printer”, and today, after three years of work, I am in a completely different place. It’s great to work in a team of planners where I can learn from more experienced colleagues.
If Marcin should describe his work to a child, he would do it like this:
– My job is to cook, let’s say, a soup. I first have to decide what kind of a soup I will cook. I then make a list of all the ingredients I need for my soup and estimate how long it will take me. When the shopping is done, we cook the soup according to the plan.
Marcin wouldn’t change anything in his job.
– Everyhing is good as it is. I’m so glad I made that move few years back. I am very happy to be here – At Promeco, he says.
