2024 was a year of significant developments and improvements for Promeco. The company focused on streamlining operations, enhancing profitability, and preparing for future growth, laying a strong foundation for the years ahead.
A Year of Clarity: Efficiency and Transparency
Streamlining operations and improving efficiency were at the heart of Promeco’s efforts. This work will continue into the coming year, with a focus on breaking plans into easily understandable parts. Making objectives visible and sharing them concretely with every employee are key measures to ensure everyone understands their role in the company’s success.
“We are investing in onboarding, transparency, and communication. Objectives are simplified into actionable steps so that everyone knows the significance of their work within the bigger picture,” says Promeco’s CEO Ville Ritakorpi.
Promeco has long invested in internationalisation leveraging a diverse workforce. Last year, the Kankaanpää facility welcomed 30 employees from different countries within just two months, enriching the work community and supporting the company’s global goals.
Focus on Project Manufacturing and Sustainability
Promeco has shifted its focus more strongly toward project manufacturing, particularly in the early stages of production and scalability. This transition enhances the company’s ability to meet clients’ most complex and unique needs.
“In project manufacturing, we focus closely on customer’s goals right from the start. This approach has helped us streamline processes,” says Ritakorpi.
Next year the Vaasa facility expansion and new investments will support operational development. In Poland, Promeco sees significant opportunities in the growth of wind power.
Supporting customers’ sustainability goals has been a natural part of Promeco’s strategy for years. The company has taken significant steps to reduce emissions and is well prepared to meet requirements like the CSRD directive.
“Being a pioneer in sustainability is an important goal for us. We are committed to developing solutions that benefit our customers and the environment,” says Promeco’s Sales Director Hanna Pahkala.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Next year is expected to be a year of growth. Ownership restructuring and a fresh perspective on leadership have created a positive momentum. The strategy has been updated to align with 2025 goals, and preparations for the next three-year strategy process are already underway. Active operational development sets the stage for future growth.
Promeco is also investing in information security, currently preparing for ISO 27001 certification, which will strengthen its position as a reliable and responsible global partner. The certification is targeted for completion in 2025.
