Joonas – When the profession feels like the right choice
Joonas Kujansuu is still looking at his Promeco career from the beginning of the journey. “I’ve worked at Promeco regularly for almost 5 years, but the first years I worked through a staffing platform.” Joonas thinks it was a good choice to work alongside his studies because like that he was able to do his internships simultaneously. Otherwise, he would have had to apply for them separately.

WHEN THE PROFESSION FEELS LIKE THE RIGHT CHOICE
Joonas Kujansuu is still looking at his Promeco career from the beginning of the journey because he only has a few full years of permanent work behind him. He was still a student in a vocational school when he applied for a job at Promeco. “I’ve worked at Promeco regularly for almost 5 years, but the first years I worked through a staffing platform.” Joonas thinks it was a good choice to work alongside his studies because like that he was able to do his internships simultaneously. Otherwise, he would have had to apply for them separately.
Work can often be done independently in your own peace, and when help is needed, it’s always close by.
VERSATILITY IS AN ASSET AT PROMECO
Promeco values multi-expertise and is willing to support and enable it. For four years, Joonas’ task at Promeco has been connecting and assembling electrical switchboards. As Promeco has felt like a good workplace and it offers opportunities to learn new things if needed, Joonas has, as an enthusiastic and learning-minded person, started a professional degree in welding, i.e. production technology in apprenticeship training. Joonas wants to complete his studies quickly so that he can get back to work. Work is important to this young professional.
PROMECO AS A WORKPLACE
Joonas describes his work at Promeco as a neat indoor job with regular working hours. It brings regularity to everyday life. Work can often be done independently in one’s own peace, and when help is needed, it’s always close by. Often, when Joonas performs a task that demands concentration, he does it casually with music in his headphones. Joonas is happy that his work allows it. Joonas also thinks there’s a good spirit in Promeco’s work community. “We get along well, and we share the same sense of humor with colleagues.”
The work itself is challenging, interesting, and pleasant. No day is the same, but there’s always something new that allows one to learn more. “I like the diversity of my work. From time to time, we are allowed to be creative, that is, we can apply our skills to the given work and re-think it. Once the outcome is successful, it’s nice to look at your handiwork and sometimes you can even get some positive feedback afterwards.”
SPEED AND DANGEROUS SITUATIONS AS A HOBBY
Because every day toil takes place indoors, hobbies have to give something more, e.g. speed and dangerous situations. In addition to peaceful fishing, Joonas’ hobbies include an active gym rehearsal and motorcycles. Especially motocross and motorcycling are close to his heart. They give a nice counterbalance to an otherwise smooth everyday life.
